Olamide Unveils Self-Titled 12th Studio Album, Set for June 2025 Release
Nigerian music heavyweight Olamide has officially confirmed that his 12th studio album, titled Olamide, will be released on June 3, 2025.
The announcement was made on Tuesday, April 29, in tandem with the release of the project’s lead single, Kai, featuring fellow Afrobeats star Wizkid. The single has already sparked widespread excitement online, with fans praising the collaboration and anticipating what the full album might hold.
The upcoming body of work will feature 17 tracks – Olamide’s most extensive album since his 2017 project Lagos Nawa – and marks his 15th overall project in a career spanning more than a decade. While details surrounding the album’s sound and guest appearances remain closely guarded, the decision to name the album after himself hints at a deeply introspective project that may explore personal themes and reflect on his musical journey.
With a reputation for blending street anthems with mainstream hits, Olamide has remained one of the most influential forces in Nigerian music, known for shaping the soundscape with genre-defining albums and nurturing new talent through his label, YBNL.
As fans await the full tracklist and official rollout, Olamide is already being positioned as one of the most significant releases of 2025 in the Afrobeats space.
