P. Diddy Found Guilty on Two Counts, Acquitted of Sex Trafficking Charges

American music mogul Sean “P. Diddy” Combs has been found guilty on two out of five federal charges in a high-profile trial involving allegations of sex trafficking and racketeering.

A federal jury on Tuesday convicted the 54-year-old on two counts of transportation for prostitution, related to separate incidents involving his former partner Cassie Ventura and another individual identified in court as “Jane”, who testified under a pseudonym.

Combs, who had faced a string of explosive allegations throughout the trial, was visibly relieved as the verdict was read. According to reporters present in the courtroom, he raised a fist and mouthed “thank you” to jurors after being acquitted on the more serious sex trafficking and racketeering charges.

The jury’s final decisions were as follows:

  • Count 1: Racketeering Conspiracy – Not Guilty
  • Count 2: Sex Trafficking of Cassie Ventura – Not Guilty
  • Count 3: Transportation for Prostitution (Cassie and others) – Guilty
  • Count 4: Sex Trafficking of Jane – Not Guilty
  • Count 5: Transportation for Prostitution (Jane and others) – Guilty

The trial, which lasted several weeks, saw emotional testimony from multiple witnesses, including Cassie Ventura, a former music artist and longtime associate of Combs, and “Jane,” who was in a relationship with him between early 2021 and his arrest in 2024.

While Combs avoided convictions on the most severe counts, including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, the two guilty verdicts still carry significant legal consequences. Sentencing is expected in the coming months, and legal analysts suggest the music executive could face substantial penalties, including possible prison time.

The case has cast a long shadow over Combs’ decades-long career in entertainment, during which he has built a billion-dollar empire encompassing music, fashion, liquor brands, and television ventures.

Combs has not issued a public statement since the verdict, but his legal team is expected to appeal the convictions. Prosecutors, meanwhile, have called the outcome a “partial but meaningful step toward justice” for the women who came forward.
