Pepsi Launches Wild Cherry & Cream Soda Following Coke’s Flavor Discontinuation
Pepsi is set to shake up the soda aisle with a new flavour addition, Wild Cherry & Cream. Available in regular and zero-sugar options, the drink will hit shelves starting January 20.
The new flavour is described as delivering an “initial burst of sweet Pepsi cherry flavour” complemented by a “smooth, creamy vanilla swirl,” according to a press release. Pepsi promises a “silky mouthfeel” that balances sweetness with creaminess in every sip.

This launch comes just months after Coca-Cola discontinued its Cherry Vanilla flavour on September 4, citing evolving consumer preferences and lifestyle changes. Coca-Cola also discontinued Diet Coke with Splenda around the same time, leaving a gap in the market for creamy, fruity sodas.

The trend of creamy sodas has been growing in recent years, fueled by the popularity of “dirty sodas.” These beverages, which combine soda, flavoured syrups, and coffee creamer, gained viral attention on TikTok in 2022. Originating in Utah, where the Mormon population often opts for non-alcoholic beverages, the craze has been embraced by soda enthusiasts nationwide.
Pepsi’s Wild Cherry & Cream is a permanent addition to its lineup, offering fans a fresh take on the creamy soda trend.
