PepsiCo Revives Fan-Favourite MTN Dew Baja Blast, Celebrating 20 Years of Flavourful Nostalgia

PepsiCo is set to delight soda enthusiasts by resurrecting the beloved MTN Dew Baja Blast, marking the iconic flavour’s 20th anniversary. The tropical-lime concoction has cultivated a dedicated fan base over the years and is poised to make a triumphant return to store shelves nationwide.

Unlike its competitor Coca-Cola, which has yet to offer an equivalent product on a national scale, PepsiCo has strategically embraced the cult-like status of MTN Dew Baja Blast. The limited-edition flavour has previously made sporadic appearances, reminiscent of McDonald’s McRib, but has remained a staple at Taco Bell locations.

In a recent news release, PepsiCo announced the grand return of MTN Dew Baja Blast, inviting consumers to partake in what they describe as a “flavour revolution.” The soda, known for its refreshing tropical-lime twist, will be available not only at Taco Bell but in stores across the country for the remainder of the year.

While Coca-Cola has experimented with resurrecting discontinued flavours, such as the infamous New Coke, PepsiCo’s decision to bring back MTN Dew Baja Blast signals a unique approach to catering to the preferences of its diverse audience. PepsiCo has not committed to a permanent return to store shelves, but the soda will be accessible nationwide through the end of 2024, promising fans a limited-time opportunity to savour the citrus-infused blast from the past.
