Pizza Hut Manager Killed by Co-worker Over $7,000 Inheritance Cheque in Eatery’s Kitchen: Police

Authorities in Wisconsin have charged a Pizza Hut employee with the homicide of his manager, allegedly motivated by a $7,000 inheritance cheque the victim had recently cashed.

Kavonn Ingram, 31, is accused of the February 5th killing of 55-year-old Alex Stengel, whose body was discovered in a dumpster outside the Pizza Hut restaurant in South Milwaukee.

According to police reports, Stengel had recently cashed a $7,000 inheritance cheque and had displayed the money to colleagues, including Ingram, in the days leading up to his death. Investigators believe the cash became the catalyst for the fatal altercation.

Stengel sustained gunshot wounds, a slashed throat, and additional stab wounds around his neck. Police suspect he was murdered in the kitchen before his body was concealed in a garbage bag and discarded in the dumpster.

Ingram was apprehended after surveillance footage allegedly captured him moving a garbage can from the restaurant to the dumpsters on the day of the incident. He reportedly attempted to obscure his involvement by logging Stengel out of work and sending texts from his phone to a regional manager.

Facing charges of first-degree homicide, hiding a corpse, armed robbery, and possession of a firearm by a felon, Ingram could potentially receive a life sentence if convicted.
