Portable Rejects Comparisons to Asake, Says He Resembles Lil Wayne
Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has dismissed comparisons between his facial tattoos and those of fellow artist Asake, insisting he bears a closer resemblance to American rapper Lil Wayne.
Asake recently unveiled his new facial tattoos, which include dollar signs and the word “Believe,” in an Instagram post that sparked mixed reactions online. Some fans drew parallels between his new look and Portable’s distinctive facial tattoos.
Portable, however, was not pleased with the comparisons. In a video posted on his social media page, the “Zazu Zeh” crooner expressed his disapproval, stating, “Don’t compare me to Asake. I don’t look like Asake. I look like Lil Wayne. Stop comparing me to an overrated artiste.”
The singer’s remarks have fueled ongoing discussions about individuality and artistic expression within Nigeria’s music industry.
