Pras Confirms Participation in Fugees Reunion Tour Amid Surprising Revelation

Popular rapper Pras has officially confirmed his involvement in the upcoming Fugees reunion tour, celebrating the 25th anniversary of Lauryn Hill’s iconic album, “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.” However, Pras has confessed that he was caught off guard by the tour announcement, revealing that he only learned about it through media reports just last week.

TMZ recently caught up with Pras and inquired about his feelings regarding his enduring influence over the years. In response, he humbly stated, “I guess we’re blessed,” referring to himself and his fellow Fugees members, as he reflected on their lasting impact.

However, when asked about the upcoming tour, Pras had a surprising admission: “I didn’t even know the tour was happening, to be honest with you,” he confessed. “I don’t know. But I heard about it through the media. I’m going, obviously, but I just heard about it last week.”

This revelation led to conflicting statements, as Pras’s publicist, Erica Dumas, promptly clarified that he was indeed informed about the tour. Dumas stated, “Contrary to TMZ, Pras Michel was well aware of the upcoming Fugees reunion tour. He, Lauryn, and Wyclef have been in communication about this tour since early summer.” She explained that Pras had refrained from making any public comments until Lauryn Hill’s team was prepared to make an official announcement. Dumas emphasized Pras’s enthusiasm for reuniting with his Fugees partners and celebrating their music with fans worldwide, dismissing any reports suggesting he was unaware of the tour as “patently false.”

When questioned about the possibility of new music from the Fugees, Pras remained cautiously optimistic. He replied, “I’m taking it day by day,” while refraining from commenting on his ongoing legal situation.

Despite the conflicting reports, Pras maintains his innocence in a recent legal matter. On April 26, he was found guilty on multiple charges, including conspiracy to defraud the U.S., witness tampering, and acting as an unregistered agent of a foreign government. These charges could result in a potential prison sentence of up to 20 years, although a sentencing date has not yet been determined.

Pras’s publicist, Erica Dumas, vehemently denied claims that Pras had served as an FBI informant, stating, “Pras was never an FBI informant. It’s not accurate and, quite frankly, it’s dangerous.” She emphasized that if Pras had indeed been an informant, he would not be facing prosecution and the threat of such a lengthy prison term.

Amid the controversy and legal battles, Pras has found support from fellow artist Chuck D of Public Enemy, who took to Twitter to challenge the narrative surrounding Pras. Chuck D criticized what he described as biased portrayals of Pras in the media and urged a more balanced perspective on the situation.
