Last month, Mbappe informed his current club, Paris Saint-Germain, of his intention to depart when his contract expires on June 30, as reported by The Athletic. While Madrid president Florentino Perez has been linked with securing a five-year contract for the 25-year-old, conflicting reports have emerged regarding the deal’s completion.
Despite the absence of official confirmation, Mbappe’s potential transfer to Real Madrid ahead of the 2024/2025 season appears imminent, positioning Madrid to secure a promising talent at no transfer fee. Mbappe’s existing 10-year deal with Nike, reportedly valued at $15.3 million (€14 million) annually, ranks him as the second highest-paid footballer under Nike’s sponsorship, trailing only Cristiano Ronaldo. Despite forfeiting a special bonus from PSG upon his departure, Mbappe stands to recoup this amount with a Champions League victory alongside Real Madrid, as per OK Diario.
