Rick Ross Allegedly Faces $65,000 Tax Debt in Georgia

Rick Ross is reportedly under scrutiny from the Georgia Department of Revenue for nearly $65,000 in unpaid taxes.

According to reports from In Touch, the state filed a tax lien against the rapper in late 2024, citing unpaid taxes from 2021. The total amount – $64,995.21 – includes the original debt of $29,043, as well as interest, collection costs, and additional fees.

Ross, known for his lavish lifestyle, owns a sprawling 109-room mansion in Fayetteville, Georgia, formerly owned by boxing legend Evander Holyfield. He also purchased a $35 million estate on Miami’s exclusive Star Island in 2023, where celebrities like Diddy also reside.

Recently, Ross expressed interest in acquiring more real estate, eyeing a property in Atlanta owned by Cardi B. The rapper commented, “Asking price?” on an Instagram post featuring the estate, after Cardi shared she no longer wanted the property.

Cardi B has been vocal about her lack of attachment to Atlanta, her estranged husband Offset’s hometown. In a past Instagram Live session, she explained her distaste for the city, stating, “I don’t live in Atlanta. I only go there a few times a year. I have no friends or family there.”

Ross has been active in the Atlanta real estate market, notably purchasing Meek Mill’s mansion for over $4 million in 2023. The deal, reportedly paid in cash, was facilitated by Ross’s realtor, Alisha Gillooly, who highlighted the impact of the high-profile transaction in the luxury market.

As the tax dispute unfolds, Ross’s financial dealings remain a topic of public interest, underscoring the rapper’s continued prominence in both music and real estate.
