Rihanna Describes Motherhood as an ‘Olympic Sport’ in Candid Post
Barbadian superstar Rihanna has opened up about the challenges of motherhood, likening it to an “Olympic sport” in a light-hearted social media post. The 36-year-old singer, who is a mother of two boys, shared a video of her eldest son, RZA, attempting to climb out of his baby cot on her X (formerly Twitter) account.
In the clip, RZA can be seen making several attempts to free himself from the cot, eventually succeeding after a few failed tries. Rihanna humorously captioned the video, “Being a boy mom is an Olympic sport ♀️♀️,” capturing the chaotic and energetic nature of parenting.
Rihanna and her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, welcomed their first son, RZA, on May 19, 2022. The couple celebrated the arrival of their second son, Riot Ross, in August 2023. Despite earlier rumours of a third pregnancy, Rihanna dispelled them during an interview with Entertainment Tonight but admitted she “definitely” plans to have more children in the future.
In a previous interview with Interview Magazine, the billionaire singer expressed her desire for a daughter, stating, “I would try for my girl. But of course, if it’s another boy, it’s another boy.”
As Rihanna balances her booming career and motherhood, her candid posts offer fans a glimpse into the joys and challenges of raising young children.
