Ronaldo Nazario: ‘I’d be Happy if Messi Wins the World Cup’
Brazil legend Ronaldo Narzeiro was recently asked about how he’d feel to see Lionel Messi win the World Cup with Argentina. He said: “I would be happy if Messi won the World Cup.
“I would not be happy, as a Brazilian. We all deserve it. Football is playing and winning. Nobody is going to give you anything. Not for his story, not for anything. He has a chance, of course.
“Argentina doesn’t play great football, but they have incredible desire, they all run a lot together, they all have an aggressiveness… and then they have Messi, who when he approaches the area is very decisive. Personally, I would be happy for him if he wins it.”
The Brazilian must be gutted that his Brazil side will not be able to play Argentina in the semi-finals after they were knocked out by Croatia in the quarter-finals.
Messi & co still needs to play two more games before they can finally win the World Cup and Leo can cap off a perfect career by lifting the majestic golden trophy.
