Shakira Tells Court Her Relationship With Pique ‘Wasn’t Solid’ Until Birth of Their Second Child
A very interesting revelation about Shakira’s personal life has emerged from the singer’s appearance in a Barcelona court on Friday, where she is defending herself against alleged tax offences committed between 2012 and 2014.
As reported by Marca, the Colombian is claiming that she wasn’t properly a resident in Spain until 2015, which is surprising since she had already met Gerard Pique five years before that and the couple had their second child, Sasha, in 2015.
Their first child, Milan, also started school in 2015, yet Shakira has claimed that her relationship with Pique wasn’t solid enough to become a resident of Spain until that year of 2015.
What Did Shakira Say About Pique in Court?
“There was no firm commitment between the two and they could only see each other during holidays or fleeting trips, either in Barcelona or in other parts of the world,” was the claim lodged by Shakira’s defence team on Friday, according to Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia.
She claimed that it wasn’t until the end of 2014 that they decided to establish a settled relationship and residency together in Spain.
