Snoop Dogg Secures Primetime Role for 2024 Paris Olympics Coverage

Iconic rapper Snoop Dogg is set to expand his diverse portfolio with a prominent role in NBCUniversal’s coverage of the 2024 Olympic Summer Games in Paris. The announcement was made during Sunday Night Football’s coverage of the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings.

In a promo video featuring various Olympians, Snoop expressed his excitement about the upcoming Olympics and his role in the coverage. As part of NBC Olympics, he will engage in conversations with host Mike Tirico, offering his distinctive take on the events in Paris. The rapper will explore the city’s landmarks, attend Olympic competitions, and make visits to athletes, their friends, and families.

Growing up watching the Olympics, Snoop shared his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “It’s a celebration of skill, dedication, and the pursuit of greatness. We’re going to have some amazing competitions, and, of course, I will be bringing that Snoop style to the mix.”

The rapper, known for his unique perspective and humour, previously garnered attention during the Tokyo Olympics for his highlights commentary on Peacock during the dressage competition. His engaging performance has earned him the role of Special Correspondent in Paris.

Molly Solomon, executive producer and president of NBC Olympics Production, expressed confidence in Snoop Dogg’s ability to bring a unique perspective, stating, “We don’t know what the heck is going to happen every day, but we know he will add his unique perspective to our reimagined Olympic primetime show.”

The 2024 Summer Olympics are scheduled to air live on NBC and Peacock from July 26 through August 11. Snoop Dogg’s multifaceted presence, from music to commentary, continues to capture attention and accolades across various industries.
