Streamer Peller Claims He’s Receiving Death Threats Over Pro-Tinubu Stance
Nigerian streamer Peller has alleged that he has been receiving death threats after urging Nigerians to end the #30DayRants challenge on TikTok, a movement where citizens express their frustrations over governance and economic hardship.
Peller, who has faced heavy backlash for his stance, warned that continued criticism of President Bola Tinubu’s administration could lead to TikTok being banned in Nigeria, which would affect his livelihood and that of other content creators.
During a recent livestream, he claimed that some individuals had threatened him, referencing the shooting of fellow streamer Oloba Salo in Lekki, Lagos last year.

“I have been receiving death threats. Some people threatened to shoot me like they shot Salo in Lekki Phase 1. They asked me to watch my back when going out,” he said before abruptly ending the stream with, “I’m not talking again. Goodbye.”
The #30DayRants challenge has gained momentum on TikTok, with Nigerians using the platform to air grievances about economic struggles under the Tinubu administration.
