Super Eagles Maintain 40th Position in Latest FIFA Rankings

In the most recent FIFA rankings, the Super Eagles of Nigeria have managed to retain their 40th position in the world. The rankings, released by the international football governing body, FIFA, also maintain Nigeria’s position as the sixth-best team on the African continent.

The top five African teams continue to be Morocco (ranked 13th globally), Senegal (20th), Tunisia (32nd), Algeria (33rd), and Egypt (35th), with no changes in their positions. This stability suggests consistent performances in the continent’s football scene.

Among Nigeria’s upcoming opponents in the Africa Cup of Nations, Ivory Coast holds the 52nd position, Guinea Bissau sits at 91st, and Equatorial Guinea occupies the 110th position.

On the global stage, world champions Argentina remain at the top of the rankings. They are followed by France, Brazil, England, and Belgium, rounding up the top five best teams in the world. Portugal has moved up two places to sixth, and the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, and Croatia complete the top ten nations.
