Supermodel Has Dress Spray-Painted on During Fashion Show
Bella Hadid captivated guests at Paris Fashion Week when artists spray-painted a dress on her.
The 25-year-old model’s gown was a part of French label Coperni’s Spring-Summer 2023 collection.
As reported by Financial Times, designers Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant sent out Bella Hadid in her knickers so that three people could spray-paint her body in a white liquid that became a dress.
The spray-on fabric was supplied by Fabrican, a London-based company that has been making the stuff for about two decades — so it wasn’t new technology. But it was new to most of the audience and those who re-shared the video online, and thousands more now know the Coperni name, and associate it with innovation, because of it. Meyer and Vaillant would be smart to push that further.
The supermodel, who recently made her acting debut, praised the Coperni team for including her in the unique fashion moment, using technology created by Dr. Manel Toress, and designed by Coperni co-founders Sébastien Meyes and Arnaud Vaillant.
Friends of the model took to social media to congratulate her for her success, including her sister Gigi Hadid writing, “The mooooment,” and Venus Williams commenting “The perfect muse.”
Yolanda Hadid also praised her daughter for the special moment, writing, “This was an incredible moment my love, so proud of you.” Lizzo commented, “Lemme borrow that when u done,” while Dove Cameron wrote “Truly awe inspiring.”
Coperni shared their appreciation for having Bella Hadid at their show, describing it as a “magical moment that will stay engraved in our minds and hearts forever.”
