Teebillz Apologizes to Toke Makinwa Over 2Baba and Annie Idibia Divorce Comments

Talent manager and estranged husband of Tiwa Savage, Tunji Balogun, popularly known as Teebillz, has publicly apologized to media personality Toke Makinwa after initially criticizing her remarks on the divorce saga between 2Baba and Annie Idibia.

Following 2Baba’s shocking divorce announcement on January 26, 2025, Makinwa was one of the first celebrities to react, warning the singer that he would have to contend with her and others for daring to leave Annie.

Her comment, however, did not sit well with Teebillz, who sternly advised her to stay out of people’s family matters. He went further to state that Makinwa had yet to attain the level of love and forgiveness that other women who have children for their partners exhibit.

His response sparked heated reactions online, with many speculating that it could strain his relationship with Makinwa, who is friends with his ex-wife, Tiwa Savage.

However, in a surprising turn of events, Teebillz took to Instagram on Saturday to issue a heartfelt apology, admitting that he had overreacted.

“My sincere apologies to TM [Toke Makinwa]. I jumped the gun and goofed,” he wrote. “I honestly acted out of character because of the unconditional love I have for Annie and King 2. My action was based on expired knowledge and a lack of understanding of the current occurrences.”

Teebillz further expressed his willingness to extend a private apology, acknowledging that his reaction mirrored the very behavior he had accused Makinwa of.

“I hope you spare my ignorance. Hopefully, I get the chance to privately apologize to sort our differences. My action was exactly what I accused you of. Hope you forgive my emotional incompetence, please.”

As of now, Toke Makinwa has not publicly responded to the apology.
