The adidas Mad IIInfinity Debuts This Month
In a bold move towards redefining its basketball offerings, adidas is set to debut the Mad IIInfinity, a prominent silhouette from the much-anticipated “2024 Collection.” Following the success of the Fear of God-inspired “Remember The Why” apparel capsule and the Fear of God Athletics launch in 2023, the sportswear giant continues to merge elements of the past and present with a focus on lifestyle and performance.
Previously showcased as the Superteam 2000 S, the Mad IIInfinity takes center stage in the upcoming collection. Scheduled for its initial release in a “Carbon” colorway, the sneaker boasts a forward-looking design incorporating mesh, suede, and synthetic leather in its futuristic upper.
The bulky yet stylish shape of the Mad IIInfinity draws inspiration from adidas Basketball’s heritage, echoing the influence of iconic silhouettes like the Crazy 1. The lacing system is notably covered on most of the upper, emphasizing the futuristic aesthetic.
In terms of branding, adidas maintains subtlety, featuring a small version of the iconic Three Stripes logo in blue at the toe and heel. Silver linework complements the entirely black presentation of the shoe.
