Versace Enlists NBA Star Dwyane Wade for Exclusive Eyewear Campaign

Italian fashion powerhouse Versace has once again collaborated with NBA star Dwyane Wade, making him the focal point of their latest eyewear campaign. In a departure from conventional fashion campaigns, this initiative puts the spotlight squarely on the practical and functional accessory of eyewear, showcasing Wade’s versatility in sporting various styles, from sunglasses to frames accommodating prescription lenses.

This marks the second collaboration between the NBA star and Versace, following a successful campaign in February 2023. The spotlight of the new Versace campaign is on the debut of the Versace Profiles styles, offering a more personal perspective on the faces of the Italian fashion house’s campaigns. Wade was invited to profile himself, sharing items of personal significance with unique stories. The basketball Hall of Famer selected his first NBA championship ring, a camera, and a photo of his youngest daughter, Kaavia.

Expressing his pride in being part of the Versace family, Wade stated, “I’m proud to be part of the Versace family, and I’m excited to launch my second eyewear collection with a campaign that’s personal and meaningful.” He emphasized the importance of eyewear as a finishing touch to an outfit, underscoring the significance of details in completing one’s look.

The campaign showcases three new styles from the Men’s collection, featuring a silver chrome frame with black lenses, a tortoiseshell square frame with clear lenses, and a blue and black speckled frame with black lenses. Wade highlights the iconic touch of Versace, from the Medusa to the hinges, describing it as a distinctive luxury that sets the eyewear collection apart.

The latest Versace men’s eyewear collection is available on versace.com, with frames retailing between $364 and $441. Dwyane Wade’s endorsement adds a unique flair to the campaign, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to attention to detail and luxury in eyewear.
