Warren G Saved Snoop Dogg From Potentially Getting Killed in 1996 2Pac Shooting

In a riveting revelation, Warren G has shared an astonishing account of how he inadvertently shielded Snoop Dogg from the life-threatening drive-by shooting that claimed the life of rap legend 2Pac.

The G-Funk luminary unveiled this gripping anecdote during a recent appearance on Drink Champs, where he unveiled how a twist of fate altered the course of events leading to the tragic incident.

The narrative unfolds in September 1996 when Snoop Dogg initially planned to accompany 2Pac and Suge Knight to Las Vegas to witness the Mike Tyson vs. Bruce Seldon fight. However, a last-minute decision spared him from the ill-fated journey, as he accepted Warren G’s invitation to watch the heavyweight match in Los Angeles.

Warren G recounted, “I was like, ‘Shit, I’m a bachelor. What’s up, Snoop? Come over! I’m here watching the fight, I’ma invite a gang of people over, we gonna barbecue.'” Snoop Dogg’s spontaneous decision to join Warren G proved to be a pivotal moment that altered the course of events dramatically.

As fate would have it, while they enjoyed the fight and camaraderie at Warren G’s residence, news arrived that 2Pac had been shot. Snoop Dogg promptly left for Las Vegas to visit his critically injured friend.

Reflecting on the gravity of the situation, Warren G explained, “We could hear the shit, and then he started getting calls and they were telling him that 2Pac got shot. So I kicked everybody out and [Snoop] took off — that’s when he went to Vegas to go see what was going on and go to the hospital.”

This twist of fate ultimately spared Snoop Dogg from being in the car during the tragic incident. 2Pac, also known as Tupac Shakur, succumbed to his injuries six days after the shooting, sending shockwaves through the music industry and beyond.

The circumstances surrounding 2Pac’s death have remained shrouded in mystery, prompting renewed efforts in recent weeks to investigate the case further. In July, Las Vegas police executed a search warrant on a Nevada home linked to Duane “Keefe D” Davis, who is believed to have connections to the case. Forensic testing of seized items did not yield a match to the crime scene evidence, but investigators continue to work diligently to uncover the truth.

Despite the ongoing speculation, the tragic loss of 2Pac and the events surrounding his death serve as a poignant reminder of the complex web of circumstances that have shaped the course of hip-hop history.
