Why Shakira & I Aren’t Married – Barcelona Defender, Pique
FC Barcelona centre-back, Gerard Pique, has revealed why he remains unmarried to Colombian singer and popstar, Shakira.
According to Pique, he is quite satisfied with where he currently is in life and doesn’t feel that marriage or the pressure to get married to Shakira should influence their relationship and what they share.
He made this known in a recent interview with popular football pundit, Gary Neville on the Overlap. When Neville put the question to him, Pique replied with, “No, I’m not married.”
When asked if the reason he is yet to propose marriage to Shakira was because the singer has chosen to keep him on his toes, Pique said, “It’s her mentality!”
He went on to explain that he is enjoying what they currently share. “I like how we are right now. We have two kids, nine and seven, and we work good as a couple. We don’t have the need to be married. It’s fine.”
Neville wasn’t letting him off the hook and jokingly accused Pique of probably proposing to Shakira privately but had been turned down and to this, Pique instantly laughed it off and said, “No no no… I would tell you!”
