Wizkid and Reekado Banks Reconcile Years After Public Fallout
Nigerian music stars Wizkid and Reekado Banks have rekindled their friendship, putting an end to their long-standing feud.
The two artists were spotted together for the first time since their high-profile fallout in 2020. Their reunion took place on Tuesday in Lagos, when Wizkid paid a visit to Reekado Banks’ newly launched lounge.
In a viral video circulating on social media, Wizkid and Reekado Banks were seen dining together at a Lagos restaurant, alongside rising rapper Shallipopi.
Their rift began in October 2020, during the #EndSARS protests, when Reekado Banks announced the release of their collaboration, Omo Ologo. Wizkid, angered by the timing, lashed out on social media, calling Reekado a “clout animal” and urging him to delete the post.
The online exchange led to a strained relationship between the two. However, their recent meeting suggests that they have moved past their differences, much to the excitement of fans.
