‘Wizkid Inspired Me, Been Eager to Collaborate with Him’ – Asake
Afrobeats sensation Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has expressed his admiration for Grammy-winning artist Wizkid, revealing that the star has been a significant inspiration in his music career.
Asake shared his excitement about finally collaborating with Wizkid on the track “MMS” from his newly released third studio album, Lungu Boy. In a note accompanying the song on digital streaming platforms, Asake emphasized how much he had been looking forward to working with the “Ojuelegba” hitmaker.
“It’s no secret that Wizkid is one of my music inspirations. As a young striving artist in Lagos, I’ve been waiting for that right song, so when the opportunity came, it was a no-brainer,” Asake wrote.
He further explained that “MMS,” which stands for “Mr Money Sound,” reflects his personal music journey and marks a significant milestone in his career.
