Wizkid’s ‘Made In Lagos’ Album Re-enters Billboard Charts, Extending Record

Renowned Afrobeats artist Wizkid continues to mark his impact on the music scene as his celebrated album, “Made In Lagos,” makes a return to the prestigious Billboard Charts, showcasing the unwavering admiration from his fans globally.

Despite the passage of time since its initial release, the album has resurfaced on the Billboard World Albums chart, now claiming the 15th spot. This re-entry further extends Wizkid’s remarkable record as the African artist with the lengthiest-charting album on this particular chart.

The album originally tied a significant milestone in February 2022, matching the longevity record previously held by Cape Verdean singer Cesaria Evora. Cesaria’s Grammy award-winning album had enjoyed 66 weeks on the charts, reaching as high as the number 2 position. This achievement positioned her as the sole African artist to spend such a substantial duration on the charts. However, Wizkid’s “Made In Lagos” has surpassed this record, clocking over 130 weeks on the chart due to its latest re-entry.

Wizkid’s continued presence on the Billboard World Albums chart stands as a testament to the enduring popularity and resonance of his music, showcasing his influence not only within the African music landscape but also on the global stage.
