Blaqbonez Explains Why He Rejected Alleged $1 Million Mavin Records Deal

Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has revealed why he allegedly turned down an offer to join Mavin Records despite claims that the deal was worth one million dollars.

The rapper made the revelation in a post shared on his official X account, where he suggested that his personality and approach to fame influenced the decision.

According to Blaqbonez, he is naturally not very active on social media and prefers to maintain a low online presence rather than constantly engaging fans, something he implied may not fit the expectations of a major record label.

“Need to get this off my chest before chanel drops, the reason I didn’t sign to mavin when they were begging me with a million dollars is cos i don’t really like posting,” he wrote.

The rapper added that he prefers staying mysterious online instead of maintaining frequent interactions with fans on social media platforms.

“I prefer 1 tweet per year than engaging my fans, I’m too big for that, I’m mysterious,” he added.

The statement has since generated reactions online, with fans debating whether strong social media engagement is necessary for modern artistes, especially those signed to major labels.

Blaqbonez, known for his outspoken personality and unconventional style, is currently signed to Chocolate City and has built a strong following through his music and online persona.
