The incident occurred when a fan, identified as Adeoti, attempted to take a picture with the Afrobeats star. In a viral video shared by Adeoti, Asake can be seen angrily grabbing the phone and smashing it to the ground, causing significant damage.
Adeoti captioned the video, expressing disappointment but still showing admiration for the artist. “@asakemusic You broke my iPhone 16 Pro Max. It’s not because they pissed off inside the nightclub that you are going to react like that towards a fan. Anyway, I still love you,” he wrote.
The footage has sparked widespread criticism on social media, with users expressing their disapproval of Asake’s actions.
