Tinashe Expresses Fear for Her Safety After Stalker Breaks into Los Angeles Home

American singer Tinashe recently revealed a distressing encounter with a stalker who broke into her Los Angeles home, prompting her to file for a restraining order against the individual named Ramon Oppikofer. The singer alleges that Oppikofer initiated contact by tagging her on Instagram in 2022, escalating the situation to a dangerous level.

Reports from TMZ state that the stalker appeared uninvited at Tinashe’s brother’s birthday party last month, despite having no prior connection to the singer or her family. A few days later, he allegedly showed up at her Los Angeles residence, leading Tinashe to call the police. However, he had vanished by the time they arrived.

Court documents recount that Oppikofer returned the next day, ringing Tinashe’s doorbell and shouting her name when there was no response. Even though individuals inside the house confronted him, he left without further incident. On November 3, he allegedly attempted to break into Tinashe’s home, prompting the singer to seek refuge in a locked room, expressing that she was “scared for her life.”

The stalker’s persistent actions led to his removal by music studio staff, but he continued to linger outside Tinashe’s home. Law enforcement eventually intervened, arresting Oppikofer for misdemeanor trespassing.

In her court filing, Tinashe urgently requests a restraining order to ensure her safety by keeping Oppikofer away from her. This is not the singer’s first encounter with such incidents, as she previously filed a restraining order in 2017 against a man named Martin Murphy, who had traveled across the country, believing he was married to Tinashe.

Tinashe, known for hits like “2 On,” recently released her sixth album, BB/Ang3l, exploring themes inspired by online personas and avatars. Despite the challenging circumstances, the project garnered approximately 4,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, according to Chart Data.
