Mathew Knowles, father of global music icon Beyoncé, has offered a glimpse into the singer’s early years, revealing that she was shy as a child but found confidence through her love of music.
In a heartfelt post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Mr Knowles shared how Beyoncé’s passion for singing transformed her, allowing her talent to shine and inspiring those around her.
“Beyoncé was shy growing up,” he wrote. “But as soon as she started singing, it was like a different person emerged, and we knew from a very young age that she was destined to pursue her passion in music.”
His comments came as he celebrated Beyoncé’s recent recognition by Billboard as the greatest pop star of the 21st century. Expressing his pride, Mr Knowles said he was not surprised by her achievement, adding, “I knew she was meant for greatness from the moment I held you in my arms for the first time.”
