Gates, a major shareholder in Microsoft, discusses the Gates Foundation’s commitment to reducing disparities in benefitting people globally. He emphasizes the foundation’s goal to bridge the gap between aiding those in poor countries and wealthier nations, particularly addressing shortages of doctors and teachers in regions like Africa.

While Gates is the fourth-richest person globally, with a net worth of $140 billion, he remains committed to philanthropy. He reassures that his wealth is more than sufficient for personal consumption, expressing pride in gradually giving away his fortune. Gates, along with ex-wife Melinda French Gates, aims to donate the majority of their wealth to the foundation they established, with plans to contribute $9 billion annually by 2026.
