Burna Boy Reacts to Speed Darlington’s Release, Cites Restraint
Nigerian music star Burna Boy has addressed the recent release of fellow entertainer Speed Darlington from police detention, following their highly publicized feud.
Speed Darlington was rearrested on November 27, just two months after his initial detention, which was reportedly linked to taunts directed at Burna Boy. Darlington had criticized Burna Boy for his association with embattled American rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently facing allegations of sexual exploitation and human trafficking.
In an Instagram story posted on Tuesday, Burna Boy seemingly referenced Darlington’s release, emphasizing that he has chosen to restrain himself despite provocation.
“When they talk, nobody cares, but it’s a nuclear disaster when I react,” Burna Boy wrote. “You all don’t know how lucky you are that I have too much to lose now. Walahi, a lot of you wouldn’t be here no more. Anyway, make I just go buy another thing to relax.”
The cryptic message has fueled speculation about Burna Boy’s stance on the ongoing feud, with fans debating his comments and the implications of his restraint. Neither party has issued a direct statement about the underlying issues fueling their conflict.
