Captain America 4 Gets Exciting Filming Update From Marvel Producer
With a cast and director finally set, Marvel producer Nate Moore has shared an exciting Captain America: New World Order filming update.
As reported by Screenrant, the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie will continue the threads from Disney+’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, in which Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson finally accepted the mantle of Captain America passed down to him by Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers.
Though development on Captain America: New World Order was announced on the heels of the show’s finale, the film began gaining ground this past summer as San Diego Comic-Con brought word of its cast and director, and now, one of the producers behind it has even further insight for the project.
In a recent interview with Collider to discuss Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Nate Moore opened up about Captain America: New World Order’s development. The Marvel producer offered an exciting filming update, confirming when the MCU sequel is set to begin filming, as well as the studio’s confidence in the project. See what Moore shared below:
We are in pre-production. We start shooting next spring. We do [have a script we’re very happy with].
Moore’s confirmation that Captain America: New World Order will begin filming in spring largely lines up with director Julius Onah’s previous comments on the matter, having indicated this past September that production would get underway at the top of the year.
Onah, well-known for helming The Cloverfield Paradox and Luce, was revealed to be directing the MCU sequel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con on a script from The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Head Writer Malcolm Spellman and show writer Dalan Musson.
The event also confirmed that Danny Ramirez and Carl Lumbly would reprise their roles of Joaquin Torres and Isaiah Bradley from the Disney+ series, as well as Tim Blake Nelson returning to the MCU for the first time since The Incredible Hulk as the film’s villain, The Leader.
