Davido Claps Back at Dammy Krane’s Social Media Claims

Nigerian music sensation Davido has swiftly responded to Dammy Krane’s recent social media post, wherein the latter made surprising allegations about their past collaboration.

Dammy Krane took to a social media platform, X, to assert that he had been the first to popularize the iconic catchphrase, ‘on the beat is Davido,’ during their earlier days in the music scene. He even compared their partnership to the legendary duo of D’Banj and Don Jazzy, citing a tweet from 2011 that was originally shared by Davido.

In his social media post, Dammy Krane stated, “who brought out this tweet 😂 factually I was the first person to call David ‘On the Beat is Davido’ when he produced ‘Pooner’ for me in 2010 (13 years ago) we was like ‘Dbanj & Donjazzy’ 🤣.”

This daring claim didn’t go unanswered, as Davido was quick to respond, especially since he recently revealed his plans to perform in Nigeria in December 2023. The award-winning artist directly addressed Dammy Krane, expressing his grievances about unpaid royalties for previous collaborative efforts.

Davido, who’s also known for his affiliation with the ’30 BG’ (30 Billion Gang), remarked, “I never got paid for that also my 3 verses I’ve gifted you all your dead careeer … .. oh yea plus my royalties, we charge now, so that’s about $150 k x3 a verse.. also house rent and food when when u stayed in my house in Atlanta when you were homeless ..”
