Diddy: Jay-Z Denies Raping 13-Year-Old Girl

Renowned American rapper and entrepreneur, Sean Carter, popularly known as Jay-Z, has strongly denied allegations of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000 alongside embattled music mogul Sean Combs, also known as Diddy.

The allegations emerged after lawyer Tony Buzbee filed a civil lawsuit, accusing Jay-Z of statutory rape. In a swift response shared on his social media pages on Sunday, Jay-Z dismissed the claims as “false and blackmail,” calling on Buzbee to file a criminal complaint instead of a civil suit.

The rapper criticised Buzbee’s legal strategy, stating, “My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a ‘lawyer’ named Tony Buzbee. What he calculated was that the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle. No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a very public fashion.”

Jay-Z further insisted that any crime of this magnitude should be pursued in a criminal court. “These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away. These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case.”

This development follows recent controversies surrounding Diddy, who was arrested in September by Homeland Security over allegations of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and interstate transportation for prostitution.

While the allegations against Jay-Z remain unsubstantiated, his response underscores his intent to challenge the claims in a public and legal arena.
