Diddy’s Desperate Texts to Cassie Following 2016 Hotel Assault Unveiled in Court Hearing

Shocking text messages sent by Sean “Diddy” Combs to ex-girlfriend Cassie, following a 2016 hotel assault, have been revealed during a court hearing in New York. The messages were disclosed as part of Diddy’s bail appeal on September 18, which ultimately resulted in his request being denied for a second time.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Johnson read the texts aloud in court, detailing how the music mogul begged Cassie for help after the assault. “Call me, the cops are here. I got six kids. Yo, please call, I am surrounded. You gonna abandon me all alone,” Diddy reportedly wrote, following the violent incident at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles.

Johnson argued that Diddy was aware his actions could lead to legal consequences. She also shared that Cassie had texted him afterward, mentioning the lasting impact of the attack, stating, “When you get fucked up, you knock me around. I’m not a rag doll. I’m someone’s child.” Cassie reportedly had visible bruising from the assault.

The assault took place on March 5, 2016, during what the prosecution described as one of Diddy’s notorious “freak off” parties. The defense, however, claimed the violence was triggered after Cassie discovered Diddy was cheating on her. According to Diddy’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, Cassie had gone through his phone and reacted by throwing it at him before leaving the hotel.

Despite the defense’s narrative, the court was shown surveillance footage of the incident earlier this year, which played a key role in the hearing. Diddy has since admitted to the attack, publicly apologizing in a video posted on social media in which he said, “I was fucked up. I hit rock bottom. My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility.”

Diddy, who faces additional allegations of victim and witness tampering, remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. Judge Andrew L. Carter denied his proposed $50 million bail package, deeming it inadequate to prevent flight risk and address concerns about public safety. Diddy’s next court appearance is scheduled for October 9.
