Doja Cat Deletes Her Instagram, Says: ‘I Just Feel Like This is Getting to be Too Much’

Doja Cat has made the decision to deactivate her Instagram account, citing overwhelming stress and negative interactions on the platform.

The rapper, known for hits like “Paint the Town Red” and “Kiss Me More,” posted a message on Instagram before deleting her account, expressing her reasons for leaving. In her now-deleted post, she shared her discomfort with the way she was treated on the platform, stating, “the way I’m spoken to on here and treated makes me have fucked up thoughts.”

Her departure from Instagram follows a recent TikTok video where she struggled to recite a viral line from Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s track “Vultures 1.” Despite her social media hiatus, Doja Cat’s career continues to thrive, with recent chart success and milestone achievements.

Last month, her song “Agora Hills” reached the number one spot on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart, marking her eighth song to achieve this feat. This accomplishment not only solidifies her status as a chart-topping artist but also distinguishes her as the only artist to achieve a number one song on the Pop Airplay chart every year of the current decade.

Additionally, “Agora Hills” tied Doja Cat with Justin Timberlake for the ninth-most number one hits on the chart since its inception in 1992, further cementing her place among music’s elite. Despite her social media hiatus, Doja Cat’s musical achievements continue to soar, showcasing her enduring impact on the music industry.
