Durban July: South Africa’s Most Fashionable Horse Race Returns

Tons of fun-loving men and women are expected to storm the coastal city of Durban this weekend for the annual Durban July, which has been prominently described as Africa’s biggest horse-racing event.

While many would definitely be there for the horse-racing spectacles and moments, countless others are actually there for the fashion, glamour and pizzazz.

Earlier today, the event featured a fashion contest to show off the latest creations by local designers.

This year’s edition of the event was keenly anticipated and held a special allure because it had been held behind closed doors for the past two years due to the Covid pandemic.

The event was graced by popular South African celebrities and some of those spotted at the event are Sithole Shozi, Thembi Seete, Minnie Dlamini, Vusi Nova, Anele Mdoda, Lungile Mchunu, Mnge, Zola Nombona, Jessica Nkosi and a host of others.
