Elon Musk Jet-Tracking Account Moves to Twitter Rival Threads

Elon Musk’s persistent Twitter foe, Jack Sweeney, has migrated to Meta’s competing platform, Threads, after launching an account named “elonmusksjet” last week.

Sweeney gained attention for his ElonJet Twitter account, which used a bot to track Musk’s private jet, leading to Musk offering him $5,000 to stop posting the jet’s location.

In December, Musk permanently suspended Sweeney’s ElonJet account, citing security concerns, but Sweeney has continued tweeting the jet’s location with a 24-hour delay on his account ElonJetNextDay.

Sweeney’s new Threads account already has 80,000 followers, indicating sustained interest in his project.

Meta’s Threads platform garnered 70 million sign-ups in under 48 hours, and Sweeney quickly set up an account using his existing Instagram account for ElonJet.

Despite a temporary block on his elonmusksjet account, Sweeney received a message stating it was active again after a review, acknowledging the mistake and apologizing for any inconvenience caused.
