A former Turn 10 Studios employee has reportedly revealed that Forza Horizon 5 sold approximately two million copies on PlayStation 5 within its first month on the platform – a remarkable milestone for what was originally an Xbox exclusive.
The claim surfaced through a LinkedIn profile belonging to the ex-employee, who had referenced his involvement in developing cross-platform features that allegedly contributed to the game’s high PS5 sales. The line has since been quietly edited out of the profile, sparking speculation over the accuracy – or confidentiality – of the figure.
While Microsoft has not officially confirmed sales numbers for Forza Horizon 5 on Sony’s console, the claim offers a rare glimpse into the game’s performance following its unexpected cross-platform release in April. It was among the first titles from Xbox Game Studios to make the leap to PlayStation, a move that exposed the title to a new, eager audience.
Known for its stunning visuals, expansive open-world racing environments, and fast-paced gameplay, Forza Horizon 5 has long been a standout in the racing genre.
