How Funke Akindele Paid Me Just N90,000 After One Month on Set – Ijoba Lande Speaks Out
Nigerian actor and comedian Ganiyu Kehinde Morufu, popularly known as Ijoba Lande, has spoken out about his disappointing experience on a film set produced by Nollywood star Funke Akindele.
In a video shared on his social media page, Lande revealed that he spent an entire month working on a project at Amen Estate but received only N90,000 as payment. The comedian said he had expected a more substantial sum and described the compensation as shocking.
“There was a time Funke Akindele called me for a movie production at Amen Estate, and we spent one month there. I was shocked when she gave me N90,000 after spending one month,” he recounted.
Lande used the opportunity to caution upcoming actors against blindly accepting offers without discussing financial terms. He stressed the importance of clear negotiations before committing to any production.
“I have learned my lesson. I will always state my charges before going to any location. When she called me, I was too excited to discuss payment, only to end up with N90,000 after one month,” he added.
The revelation has sparked conversations online about compensation and fairness in the Nigerian film industry.
