‘I’d Have Been Greater Than Wizkid if I Hadn’t Fallen Out with P-Square’ – May D
Nigerian singer May D has stirred controversy by asserting that his career trajectory could have eclipsed that of Grammy-winning artist Wizkid if he had not parted ways with Square Records, the record label owned by P-Square.
The singer made this claim during a recent exchange with Wizkid’s fans on X (formerly Twitter). The argument erupted after May D posted comments in support of Davido, which reportedly provoked responses from Wizkid’s fanbase.
May D responded to the backlash, stating, “If no be wetin happen between me and P-Square, who be Wiz [Wizkid]? Chai.”
He accused Wizkid’s fans of attacking him unnecessarily, despite his respect for the “Essence” hitmaker.
“Because I spoke about David, Wizkid boys are attacking me. Lmao even Wiz know I love him, but if y’all come for me, I’ll finish all of you and your oga,” he wrote, further adding, “Even your Wizkid knows his limits! Don’t f*ck with me.”
The comments have sparked debates on social media, with fans of both artists reacting to May D’s claims. Neither P-Square nor Wizkid has publicly responded to the remarks.
