Oderhwo Joseph Efe, popularly known as Carter Efe, a well-known Nigerian skit maker and content creator, has come forward with a distressing revelation. Efe claims that he is currently facing blackmail from an individual who possesses his private video and is threatening to release it to the public.
In an effort to pre-empt any potential scandal, the artist, who is recognized for his creative skits, chose to make the situation public and alert his followers to the impending threat.
Taking to his social media platform, Carter Efe, identified by his handle, posted a message addressing the situation. He wrote, “I am here to publicly announce that I am being blackmailed. And that my sex tape will be released soon. I am just here to let everyone know before it’s out.”
This announcement comes in the wake of a concerning trend wherein private videos of Nigerian celebrities have been leaked online. Notably, Nollywood actress Moyo Lawal recently found herself in the spotlight when an intimate video involving her surfaced on the internet.
Moyo Lawal, in response to the breach of her privacy, clarified that the bedroom video in question featured her and her estranged fiancé and was disseminated without her consent. She has since expressed her intent to pursue legal action in response to the violation of her privacy.
