inDrive Unveils Law Enforcement Data Request Portal in Nigeria
Global ride-hailing platform inDrive has launched a dedicated online portal designed to support public safety investigations by authorised Nigerian law enforcement agencies.
The new Law Enforcement Request Portal, now live, provides a secure channel through which law enforcement officers can formally request user data in connection with safety or criminal investigations. The move aims to bolster collaboration between inDrive and local authorities, while upholding the company’s commitment to user privacy and data protection.
Speaking on the development, Mary-Anne Momoh-Ige, inDrive’s Country Government Relations Manager, highlighted the portal as a proactive step toward strengthening trust and transparency.
“This initiative demonstrates our ongoing commitment to supporting Nigerian law enforcement agencies,” she said. “We recognise that timely, secure access to relevant information can be crucial during investigations, and this portal is designed to facilitate that – without compromising our users’ privacy.”

She explained that all data requests must be submitted by officials acting in their official capacity and must include valid legal documentation, such as subpoenas or court-issued warrants, in accordance with local laws.
Momoh-Ige also stressed that information shared through the portal is for official use only and should not be shared with unauthorised third parties.
