Kanye West Says He ‘Dreams’ of Apologising to Jay-Z After Past Outbursts
Kanye West has expressed a desire to make amends with long-time collaborator and former mentor, Jay-Z, following months of tension and deeply offensive remarks made on social media.
In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), West hinted at remorse, writing: “All my dreams have been about apologizing to Jay-Z.”
The post marks a stark contrast to West’s past online tirades, some of which targeted Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s children. Earlier this year, West faced widespread backlash after publishing a series of highly inappropriate and derogatory messages, referencing the couple’s twins and making crude comments related to artificial insemination and disability. Though the posts were later deleted, the damage drew heavy public criticism.
West later acknowledged the removal of the posts, but in doing so used further insensitive language and continued to lash out at the Carters, insisting that no one, including Jay-Z, held power over him. His remarks escalated to direct attacks on Jay-Z’s family and personal life, leading many to question the future of their relationship.
Jay-Z, who had once shared a close musical and personal bond with West, has not publicly responded to any of the comments made about him or his family.
While it’s unclear whether an apology or reconciliation is forthcoming, West’s recent post may signal a turning point in their strained relationship. However, given the severity of his past remarks, observers say any path to rebuilding trust will likely be long and uncertain.
