Kodak Black Faces New Legal Woes with Cocaine Possession Arrest in South Florida

American rapper Bill Kapri, widely recognized as Kodak Black, has once again found himself entangled in legal issues after being arrested on charges of cocaine possession, evidence tampering, and violating his existing probation. The 26-year-old artist was taken into custody on Thursday in South Florida.

The arrest took place in Plantation, where local police discovered Kodak Black asleep in a Bentley around 3 a.m., with authorities reportedly finding drugs on his person, according to an official police statement. Following the incident, the rapper was held in custody at Broward County jail. However, reports from NBC Miami suggest that he managed to post bail on Thursday night.

This arrest marks another chapter in Kodak Black’s legal history. In January 2021, former U.S. President Donald Trump commuted his 46-month prison sentence on the last full day of his presidency. The original sentence was linked to the rapper falsifying information on federal forms to acquire firearms.

Before this presidential intervention, Kodak Black served seven months in a Florida prison, facing charges ranging from marijuana possession and child neglect to grand theft of a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Over the course of his career, the rapper has confronted various legal challenges, including allegations of weapons possession, armed robbery, sexual assault, probation violations, and evading law enforcement.

The recent arrest adds to the string of legal troubles for Kodak Black, and additional details about the ongoing case are eagerly awaited.
