Lies na water’ – Denilson Igwe doubts Mark Angel’s claim of losing $3.7M trading forex
Popular content creator Denilson Igwe has cast doubt on skitmaker Mark Angel’s recent revelation that he lost $3.7 million (approximately ₦6 billion) in forex trading.
Mark Angel had taken to Instagram to reflect on 2024 as the most difficult year of his life, sharing that the significant loss in forex trading had been a major challenge. His post garnered sympathy from fans and followers who expressed their support.
However, Denilson Igwe, a former collaborator of Mark Angel, hinted that the claims might not be true. In a response shared on his Instagram page, he wrote, “Lies na water. Some people are just worse than the devil.”
This is not the first time Denilson has criticized Mark Angel. In 2024, he accused the comedian of mismanaging funds, alleging that Mark diverted streaming revenues from their joint comedy projects into personal accounts. He also claimed that while Mark made millions of dollars from the team’s content, other members were paid meagre sums.
Mark Angel has yet to respond to Denilson Igwe’s remarks. The incident has sparked conversations online, with fans divided over the allegations and Mark’s initial revelation about his financial loss.
