Mary J. Blige Launches $30K Scholarship for Female Students at Hampton University

Grammy-winning artist Mary J. Blige and PepsiCo, Inc. have joined forces to provide an impressive $30,000 scholarship opportunity to a deserving student at Hampton University.

This scholarship initiative, titled “Strength of a Woman,” is part of PepsiCo’s commitment to supporting educational pursuits and local charities. The eligible student must be a self-identifying female, a current college sophomore undergraduate maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.5, and must be pursuing a degree in fields like Business Administration, Marketing, Arts, Finance, or Creative Design.

The scholarship will be renewable for up to one year or until the recipient earns a bachelor’s degree, whichever comes first. To learn more about this opportunity and to apply, interested students can visit the application page.

The application deadline is set for Monday, October 16th, with a final submission time of 3 p.m. All applicants will be notified of the results in December.

Mary J. Blige expressed her excitement about this collaboration, emphasizing that the “Strength of a Woman” scholarship aims to celebrate and advocate for Black women. She remarked, “With their support for the Strength of a Woman Festival and Summit, we are able to pay it forward in so many impactful ways and to be able to grant an HBCU scholarship for a deserving student is nothing short of incredible.”
