Mohbad’s Widow, Wunmi, Insists on Dual DNA Tests, Both Local and International [Video]
In the ongoing saga surrounding the late singer Mohbad, his widow, Wunmi, has expressed her demand for both local and international DNA tests to determine the paternity of her son Liam. This revelation came to light during an Instagram live session hosted by popular Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo on Thursday.
The controversy intensified when Mohbad’s father-in-law, James Aloba, insisted on a DNA test to establish the true paternity of Liam, prompting a warning that no one should take custody of Mohbad’s body without his authorization. Notably, actress Tonto Dike and singer Bella Shmurda had earlier urged the police to release Mohbad’s body for a proper burial, citing delays in obtaining the autopsy results.
During the Instagram live session, Iyabo Ojo shared insights from a private conversation with Wunmi, who clarified that her father-in-law’s legal representatives had not officially reached out to her and her lawyer regarding the proposed DNA test.
Emphasizing that the financial responsibility for the test would not fall on her, Wunmi insisted that the DNA examination must be conducted both within Nigeria and internationally.
