Nas Revisits His Past Self in New ‘I Love This Feeling’ Music Video

Nas, the iconic figure in hip-hop, takes a nostalgic journey through his past and present in his latest music video for “I Love This Feeling,” released on Friday (March 22).

In the visuals, Nas, also known as Mr. Jones, can be seen cruising the streets of Los Angeles in a classic convertible Mercedes-Benz, reminiscing about his journey in the music industry. Using an old-school projector, he reflects on his earlier self, offering glimpses into his growth and evolution as an artist.

Amidst scenes of his past, Nas imparts wisdom to a group of young children, standing as a mentor figure at the front of a classroom. His lyrics, delivered over the Hit-Boy produced track, echo themes of energy, immortality, and the enduring impact of his music legacy.

“I’m grateful to be part of bringing Maurice Ashley’s incredible life to the screen,” Nas said in a statement. “His story is one of greatness and his perseverance will continue to inspire the next generation of thinkers.”

The music video accompanies “I Love This Feeling,” a track featured on “Magic 3,” Nas’ final album in a six-LP collaboration with producer Hit-Boy. The album follows the success of their previous projects, including 2020’s “King’s Disease.”

In addition to his musical endeavors, Nas recently announced a partnership with Power executive producer Mark Canton to develop a series based on the life of Maurice Ashley, the first Black International Chess Grandmaster. Set in New York City, the show will delve into Ashley’s journey from Jamaica to Brooklyn, highlighting his achievements and contributions to the chess community.

“I’m so humbled to have my story told and so grateful that Nas has embraced this project,” Ashley expressed. “It is not just a story about me; it’s about the community of people who have influenced and enriched my life too.”
