YesJulz Plans Countersuit Against Kanye West, Alleging Complicity in Her Firing
In the latest development surrounding the termination of talent manager YesJulz from Team Yeezy, the entrepreneur, whose real name is Julianne Goddard, has announced plans to pursue a countersuit against Kanye West and his team, unless certain conditions are met.
YesJulz took to Twitter on Friday (March 29) to address the circumstances of her departure and the subsequent lawsuit filed against her by Kanye West’s chief of staff, Milo Yiannopoulos. She asserted that she never signed a contract or a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and accused Milo of forging her signature.
Amidst her tweets, YesJulz gave Kanye West’s team a deadline of 15 days to drop their lawsuit against her. She claimed to possess evidence, including metadata on documents, voice notes, and screenshots, to support her claims.
Expressing a preference for a peaceful resolution, YesJulz demanded payment for work completed and damages for slander and forgery. However, she indicated her readiness to pursue legal action if necessary.
In response to a question about her decision to share sensitive information online, YesJulz stated that she sought to ensure her truth was known among her supporters and audience. She also accused Kanye West’s team of complicity in her firing and expressed disappointment in their failure to address the situation.
Despite her willingness to resolve the matter amicably, YesJulz revealed that she had attempted to contact Kanye West directly through mutual friends to avoid legal action.
Kanye West announced the termination of YesJulz’s involvement in the rollout of Vultures via his Instagram Stories last month. Subsequently, an email purportedly written by Milo and circulating online revealed that Kanye West’s team was suing YesJulz for $7.7 million for violating her NDA.
However, YesJulz clarified that Kanye West had not personally informed her of the lawsuit, and she had not seen his signature on the legal document. She expressed compassion for Kanye West and hoped for his understanding of the truth behind the situation.
