Nedu Defends Decision to Host DeeOne on Honest Bunch Podcast
Nigerian media personality Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, popularly known as Nedu Wazobia, has stated that he has no regrets about inviting comedian DeeOne to The Honest Bunch Podcast, despite the controversy that followed.
Nedu’s remarks come after his recent exit from the podcast, which was linked to backlash over DeeOne’s appearance. During the episode, DeeOne alleged that social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) was gay, a claim that sparked online drama.
In response, VDM accused Nedu of using the podcast to exploit up-and-coming entertainers and threatened to expose names of women Nedu allegedly claimed to have been intimate with in the industry.
The fallout from the interview fueled speculation about Nedu’s departure from the show. However, addressing the issue during a press briefing in Lagos on Thursday, Nedu maintained that he stood by his decision.
“I don’t regret bringing DeeOne on the show. Everyone is entitled to their opinion,” he stated. “The show has helped many people.”
Despite stepping away from The Honest Bunch, Nedu has not disclosed his next steps in the media space.
